It started “innocently” enough with the birth of an Iggy & The Stooges tribute band. An unexpected demand for shows led care failure. to the creation of her own band, BLOODY MANNEQUINS. A series of roster changes finally ended when ghostwolf and sparkles joined care failure. and DIE MANNEQUIN was born.
Toronto based.
Influenced by Sonic Youth, Queens Of The Stone Age, Blonde Redhead, and DFA 1979.
DIE MANNEQUIN’s first EP, “How To Kill” was recorded & produced by MSTRKRFT and became the first release from the band’s own label How To Kill Music.
“How To Kill” will be released in the US on January 16, 2007 though Cordless Recordings, home of cutting-edge acts such as Dangerous Muse, Breakup Breakdown, and Roger Joseph Manning Jr. Cordless Recordings has become a leader in online and mobile communication technologies.
Toured recently w/ Guns N’ Roses and Buckcherry.
care failure. recorded vocals for a track called “She’s Good For Business” from the latest MSTRKRFT album, The Looks.
care failure. fronted the Big Dirty Band which included Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson from Rush, Ian Thornley and members of Three Days Grace and The Tea Party. The band recorded a version of The Clash classic "I Fought The Law" which was the first single from the Trailer Park Boys Soundtrack.
