Bio

DJ Harry was introduced to the House Music movement in the parking lot of a Grateful Dead show, and has been spinning throughout the US since 1993. With his childhood musical training on piano and as a music major at Indiana University, he quickly began his career DJing on the rave circuit in St Louis, Phoenix and San Diego, playing along side such luminaries as Mark Farina, DJ Dan, Doc Martin and Kimbal Collins. Cleary identifying the similarities between the dance floor energy at the underground raves of the early 90’s and the current enthusiastic jam band fan base, he combined the two sounds for his 2001 release on SCI Fidelity records, The String Cheese Remix Project.

Harry’s follow up 2004 release, Collision on SCI Fidelity Records, received glowing press in URB, REMIX, XLR8R, BRM, Relix etc and peaked at #3 on the CMJ RPM Chart. The first single from the album, All My Life, crossed over to Triple A format radio and was ranked #3 in the US for it’s add week at Triple A. At its peak, All My Life was being played in over 50 major markets from Seattle to New York. The song’s vocalist, Lissie, recently signed a major label record deal with Maverick Records in Los Angeles and Harry is producing additional material for her major label debut.

DJ Harry has toured heavily throughout the US and Canada, on his own and playing shows with James Brown, The String Cheese Incident, Umphrey’s McGee, The New Deal, Keller Williams, Spearhead and Particle, and has performed festivals from Jam Cruise to Bonnaroo.

Harry is named in URB Magazine’s “The Next 100 for 2005”, their prestigious yearly list of hot DJ/producers. Harry has taken his success from All My Life and has spent the past year producing for singer/songwriters around the US. He is currently finishing remixes for Lotus and Umphrey’s McGee, working on his follow up to Collision and will begin touring again in 2006.
