In 2005, long time friends Mr. Lif and Akrobatik combined efforts to create a cutting edge album featuring legends like Guru (of Gang Starr R.I.P.) Shock G aka Humpty Hump (of Digital Underground), and sensational newer talents such as Camu Tao (R.I.P.) and Phonte Coleman. The album, "Black Dialogue" (Definitive Jux) was the only independent rap album to appear on Rolling Stone's 2005 top 50 year end list. After a lengthy hiatus, this dynamic rap duo has ventured back into the studio to slowly but surely craft a new sound.
Holding true to their previously explored formula for success, The Perceptionists are testing out their new material at live shows before finalizing their recordings. Don't miss out on the opportunity to attend their 2011 limited run of shows and bare witness to the process of creation unfolding live on stage!
