THE TIGER LILLIES
The Tiger Lillies are an avant-garde British musical trio, formed in 1989 by Martyn Jacques. Known for their unique blend of dark cabaret, punk, and operatic elements, the band explores macabre and melancholic themes with Jacques' distinctive falsetto and accordion. Their theatrical performances have captivated audiences worldwide.
They gained critical acclaim with the stage production "Shockheaded Peter", winning two Olivier Awards for Best Entertainment and Best Performance in a Supporting Role in a Musical. In 2003, they were also nominated for a Grammy Award for their album "The Gorey End", a collaboration with the Kronos Quartet.
Most recently, *The Tiger Lillies performed the soundtrack for the film "Modi: Three Days on Wings of Madness," directed by Johnny Depp, further cementing their place in the artistic world.
